Due to the expressed desire from many trademark practitioners who would like to have a training session on advanced searching in TESS, Hope Shimabuku, Regional Director of the Dallas PTO, has generously offered Mr. Jason Lott, a USPTO Attorney Advisor, to provide a web training session on Advanced Searching in TESS. To register for the session, please send an email to Wei Wei Jeang ([email protected]) with USPTO TESS Training in the subject line, and your zip code (USPTO wants to keep track), and a MS Teams link for the training session will be emailed to you. There is no charge.
DATE: April 7, 2022
TIME: 4-5 pm Eastern Time (plus a half-hour for Q&A)
WHAT: During this Advanced searching in TESS webinar you will learn advanced search techniques in the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Electronic Search System, or TESS. And in December 2020 alone, the USPTO received 92,608 trademark applications, an increase of 172% over December 2019. This will likely translate to longer wait time for examination.
