When a client takes the time to leave a review after I work very hard on a case and achieve a successful outcome, it means the world to me. I immensely appreciate it when a client you have worked with for quite a long period of time, such as was the case here, after we finally achieve a successful result and the case is resolved, still takes the initiative to express their gratitude and leave a review like this based on the work I did to help them to obtain a successful result.

In this particular situation, I spent a lot of time and energy not only working on his case but also, in many ways, helping almost as a life coach. I tried my best to help him through what I knew was an incredibly difficult time in his life, and for a while, I knew he felt like there would be no light at the end of the tunnel for him - with this case...and his life. It is rewarding to know that at the end of the day - when you have been doing this job and have been in this game for almost 17 years now - it still feels very good when you see how the work you did actually helped a person out in their time of need.

It still feels rewarding, after all these many years, knowing that you helped a person who was at an extremely dark place in his life by providing much-needed guidance, support, and assistance in their desperate time of need. This client was extremely likable, made a mistake, and for the entire duration of his case for over two years...was BEYOND worried, had extreme anxiety, and was immensely stressed over the uncertainty of the situation. It feels very rewarding knowing you helped someone through a tough spot in their life, and now they have hope, and hopefully a bright future ahead.

Benji Cozumel scuba 2024

Hello all - I just completed 25 dives in Cozumel with my son. It is our first real dive trip together. We had a blast. We each had a DJI Action 4 camera. On our last dive of our trip - we were taking a picture and we lost the camera. It is in a waterproof case and another diver said he saw it float to the surface. Neither of us noticed until it was too late. It was early in the dive - and we started dive #2 today at the San Clemente wall. It is in an orange waterproof “GoPro” camera case. It will look like a GoPro.

If anyone finds it - I would love to get it back. I don’t care so much about the camera - but I bought 2 large SIM cards for each camera and half of our 25 dives is on it. I was going to make a great video. Shame on me for not uploading the videos and pics each night - but the power has been off an on since the hurricane. We stayed and dove with Blue Angel.

Thanks all and happy diving and am hopeful the camera will surface somewhere.

I finished and published two books about a year ago. These were both my passion projects to write. One is on DWI Defense - the other encompassing what to do in virtually any law enforcement encounter.

I have practiced DWI Defense since first obtaining my bard card in 2008. The law enforcement encounters book I wrote to apprise the common citizen of tricky (and unforeseen) ways for how people find themselves in cuffs. And this one I was very passionate about writing and publishing - which articulates how to avoid getting in these jams by simply exercising your basic and fundamental constitutional rights. They are incredibly important. So know them.

In the preface of each book - it says for those who read them…likely will never need my services in the future. And how because of this is aspect it obviously is not meant for me to make huge monetary gains from. In fact, quite the opposite…in that for those who read it. Follow the advice. And synthesize what it says. It cuts in business for me and those who may hire me in the future.

It is meant simply to level the playing field by providing knowledge. Because knowledge is power. I have seen so many people arrested by either not knowing what to say (or not to say), what their right are, or being tricked by the police with questioning tactics and techniques they are highly skilled and trained at and used to illicit what most people think are harmless admission - but what instead amounts to is going unnecessary voluntary consent (which one should never do) and/or an outright confession, of sorts. Whereas had some what and followed to the letter what each books instructs - I would have never known them likely in the first place. And they wouldn’t have needed my help later in court. Worst case scenario they protest their rights and give me more to work with at court.

Trust me. No matter who is reading this. IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU. I have some stories I would bet 1000% that would blow your mind - and no doubt could find one similar to you or whoever is reading this. What seems like benign cooperation, or people thinking if they are honest it will better, leads almost always to further trouble. And sometimes peope who feel they have nothing to hide and just concent - police officers very often possibly find something - like an expired script bottle (or maybe their wives and/or one of their children who left it in the car on accident - they weren’t even looking for in the first place but which inevitably leads to an arrest and a person finding themselves sitting in jail.

And then only later (when for this situation is a bit too late) learn all these facts from my book - on what to do, and what to say (and not to say) when finding themselves in this position…when they contact my office for representation. I could go on and on with specific stories like this where people got taken advantage of with their honestly. And trust me. No matter who are. I have after ovwr 16 years of practicing criminal defense, have more than one where you would turn red realizing it could have just as easily happen to you (but won’t in the future if you read my books). And so years ago I set out to write a book on two subject matters Inam passionate about.
