We've been fortunate many times over the years when clients who are in the toughest fights of their lives become our friends and remain in our lives long after their cases are over. That sentiment could not be more applicable to our friend, Marisa Burke. Although we knew of Marisa as a regional news anchor, we first met her personally nearly ten years ago when she was faced with challenges the likes of which no one should have to endure. We couldn't be prouder of our friend as she chronicles winning the fight of her life in her memoir, Just Checking Scores, and we're equally proud to have been even a small part of her story. Our sincerest congratulations to our friend, Marisa Burke.

It was ten years ago today on December 5th, 2011 that we opened our office at 457 North Main Street, Suite 101, Pittston. To mark our tenth anniversary, we would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has made possible or contributed in any way to the success of our firm. We would not be where we are today, without the support of our family, friends, clients and colleagues. We appreciate each and every one of you more than we can ever say. Thank you.

We will be hosting a toy drop at the parking lot of our office, 457 North Main Street, Pittston, on Sunday, November 14th from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. If you would like to help a great cause, please consider stopping by to see us and donating a new toy. It can be for a boy, girl, infant, teen or any age in between; your choice. No toy or monetary donation is too small. All donations are greatly appreciated! All you need to do is stop by and drop off your donation. The Greater Pittston Santa Squad, with help from folks like you, has supported hundreds of needy kids directly and also through various local charities. If you can spare a little bit of your time and the small expense of a new toy for a needy child, we will do the rest! See you Sunday, November 14th between 11 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Gene was born and raised in the Greater Pittston area, having resided in Hughestown until he graduated from Pittston Area Senior High School in 1997 as Co-Valedictorian. Gene then attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a dual major in Political Science and Business in 2001. He attained his Juris Doctorate from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law in 2004 and was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania later that year. Since 2008, he has maintained a general civil practice representing clients throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. In 2011, Gene formed a partnership with his good friend and PPP Celebrity Bartender Alumnus, Greg Skibitsky. The law office of Skibitsky & Molino is located at 457 North Main Street, Pittston. Skibitsky & Molino handles a wide variety of legal matters including personal injury cases; workers’ compensation claims; family law cases including divorce, custody, support, and adoptions; estate planning/administration, zoning/land use, municipal law, and general civil litigation. Gene and Greg serve as the municipal solicitor for Exeter Township and Hughestown Borough, the zoning and planning solicitor for Exeter Borough, and the solicitor for the Duryea Borough Sewer Authority. In addition to his private practice, Gene serves as a part-time Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Major Crimes Division in the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office. He previously served as a full-time Assistant District Attorney from 2005 – 2008, and as an Administrative Law Judge for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare from 2004 – 2005.

Gene is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association / Luzerne County Bar Association, the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce, and a life member of the Pitt Alumni Association. He is also a Past Master of Saint John’s Lodge No. 233, F. & A. M.; a member of the Valley of Scranton, A.A.S.R., 32°; the Irem Shrine, A.A.O.N.M.S.; and the Italian American Association of Luzerne County.

Gene is proud to support Paint Pittston Pink and its outstanding work since 2013 to raise money in support of a vaccine to eradicate breast cancer. Barb, Qiana, and PPP’s core group of volunteers do a fantastic job of raising awareness and money by planning and executing events that bring together the entire Greater Pittston community to support the cause.

Gene resides in Duryea with his wife, Stacey, and their adorable fur baby, Stella.
