Ownership transfer of any asset from deceased to successor(s) is a set legal process. The Estate of the Deceased owns all assets till transfer is complete. Hence, it is mandatory for Legal heirs to initiate the process (immediately upon death of asset owner) in accordance with law to avoid serious legal as well as income tax complications for the Estate as well as themselves. This blog highlights essentials (followed by sample format) of one transfer tool, known as Affidavit of “No Objection” for all legal heirs, NRI’s and Resident Indians.
