Beyond the Transaction | John Bruno
Earlier this week, we shared the professional experience John brings to real estate. Today, weโre taking a closer look at the person behind the profession.
John is a husband to Melissa, dad to Michael and Claire, and a proud dog dad to Annie. Family and friends are at the center of his life, along with a passion for soccer that has shaped much of who he is.
John has coached high school varsity girlsโ soccer for 20 years and now serves as an assistant coach at Pittsford Sutherland. Watching his son Michael play travel soccer has given him a new way to share that passion. Coaching has always meant more to John than the game itself. Itโs an opportunity to teach teamwork, perseverance and how to navigate challenges. Some of those relationships have lasted well beyond the field, with former players returning years later when theyโre ready to buy a home.
Giving back is equally important to John. He has served on the IACKids Charity Golf Tournament board for more than 15 years, helping support an event that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children and families. He also has an especially personal connection to Ronald McDonald House of Rochester. When his son underwent heart surgery, Johnโs family experienced firsthand the comfort and support the organization provides. That experience continues to shape his commitment to giving back.
John shared a childhood memory with us that offers a glimpse into the person he has always been. As a young boy, he received a local โDo the Right Thingโ award for mowing his elderly neighborโs lawn and helping with yard work for several years. He didnโt think he was doing anything special. He simply saw someone who needed help.
That same instinct remains part of who he is today, whether heโs supporting his community, investing in young athletes or lending a hand when someone needs it.
Johnโs story is rooted in relationships, a willingness to help and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
