Its been an honor to work on Steve's case. We were able to exonerate him in criminal court, next we file the lawsuit against the Philadelphia Police Department in civil court for torturing a confession out of him for a grizzly murder he had nothing to do with. But for now, we're just waiting on him to walk out of jail

We knew from the jump that the Venango Co DA and PA State Police were going to let the suspect(s) off without charges. They made their position clear from day 1. But there’s far more to the story than the junk statement/coverup that came out of the DA’s office during their news conference. We’re looking forward to and hoping for a legitimate investigation by the feds. And we expect an indictment.

This is the Peter’s family’s statement following our meeting with the Venango County DA and PA State Police.

“Today the Venango County District Attorney announced that no charges will be filed for the shooting death of Peter Spencer. While we disagree with the decision, we are not surprised by it. This is the type of behavior we have seen from the PA State Police and Venango County District Attorney from the outset.

Next week, this office, accompanied by Dr. Cyril Wecht, will hold a news conference to respond in full to today’s news conference by the Venango County District Attorney and PA State Police. We will address all aspects of the case at that time. We will announce the exact time and date of our news conference later this week.

Until that time, we ask everyone to please respect Peter’s family by giving them the space they deserve to continue the healing process during this incredibly difficult time.”

“The verdict represents a rare loss for the U.S. attorney’s office, which had previously convicted the ringleader of the gang and a top lieutenant.

The conviction rate in the federal court system is about 95 percent.”

Sometimes you just have to hit the United States government with a Not Guilty. Keep em’ honest. I hope Omari and his son can make the most of this rare verdict.

There’s a ritual that comes before every time I kick a hornet’s nest. I run it by mentors from across the spectrum: prosecutors, defense lawyers, good cops and bad cops. 90% of the time they tell me something like: “run away”; “it’s not worth it”; “only do it if the money is right.” It’s not bad advice.

The final call I make is to Dr. Cyril Wecht. Dr. Wecht never tells me to run and he never mentions money. He always tells me the same thing:

“You go at those mother fu***rs. You go at them with everything you have.”

There’s a reason he’s so active in Peter’s case… there is much more to this than meets the eye… 🥾🐝🎯
