Tax Tip: No matter how much or little you make, report everything. In some way or other, unless you run a strictly cash business (another red flag), all of your income is reported to the IRS. W2, 1099 and other forms you receive are duplicated and sent in to the IRS. If your reported income doesn't match theirs, that's one more red flag.

Got a call from the IRS? The first notice you receive from the IRS will NEVER be from a phone call. U.S. residents are receiving scam calls from individuals claiming to be from the IRS or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The good news - Multi Million dollar scam busted!

I am starting to see these Notices. As many as 362,000 Americans with unpaid tax debts will not be able to apply for or renew passports until their debts are settled. The new law requires the Internal Revenue Service and the State Department to deny or revoke passports for people who have an overdue tax debt of $51,000 or more. If you have any back tax issues, contact us for a confidential consultation.

People with tax debt of more than $51,000 will be denied new passports until their debt is satisfied.
