Today, a judge ordered that Allegheny County must implement a county-wide reassessment by 2032. It appears that the County will comply with and not challenge the Order.

We’ll know in the coming months who the County hires to do the job reassessing over 585,000 parcels. It’s a years-long process, and we’ve seen that aligning reassessment values with true market values is no easy task. Morella Bencsics will be there to make sure the job is done correctly.

Friends: it costs absolutely nothing for us to check if you’re over paying your property taxes. We haven’t had a reassessment in Lawrence County since 2003. Allegheny County 2012. THANK YOU to everyone who came to the Town Hall last night to learn more about the Mercer County reassessment.

Over 250 attendees learned about the reassessment process and their options to file a tax assessment appeal.

The hour-long presentation was followed by a lively Q&A.

For those who could not make the meeting, we’ll be posting a video in the coming week.

Remember: we need your parcel information AND your new tentative value to perform a free evaluation to see whether your property may be a good candidate for appeal.
