Last week, Shareholder Megan Harmon had the honor of awarding three deserving students from Woodland Hills High School with a Mitchell P. Harmon Memorial scholarship totaling $22,500 to help them continue their education at the schools of their choice.
What makes this scholarship especially meaningful is the story behind it. Founded in memory of Megan's brother, Mitchell “Mitch” Harmon, a 1979 Woodland Hills graduate who passed away from lymphoma in 1988, the Foundation was created by family and friends to honor his legacy through education and opportunity. Since its founding, the scholarship program has awarded more than $200,000 to local students and continues to make a lasting difference in the community.
Congratulations to this year's recipients.
