At Berger and Green, we're proud of the people who make up our team, both in the office and out in the community. We're spotlighting Heather, who works on our Social Security Disability team and has volunteered as an attendant with The Squeaky Wheel Theater Company's special needs productions since 2015.
As an attendant, Heather works with special needs actors, helping them feel confident and supported so they can shine on stage. Her favorite actor to work with is her own daughter!
The Squeaky Wheel Theater Company is a community theater company in Columbiana, Ohio with an open-door casting philosophy, giving performers of all abilities a chance to take the stage.
Thank you, Heather, for a decade of showing up for these actors.

At Berger and Green, we love highlighting the work our staff does in the community. Today, we're spotlighting Amanda from our Social Security Disability team.

Amanda volunteers with The Valentine Project, an organization that provides valentines and gifts to children battling chronic illnesses. Each year, she donates handblown glass art, not just her own, but pieces she collects from other glass artists in her network. Last year, the organization brought a group of kids to her studio for a glassblowing demo.

"A previous employer was donating cards, and I wanted to send in some glass. I've been doing it every year since," Amanda said.

For Amanda, the best part is simple: "Getting to share my art and craft with children who may not necessarily get access to the art and experience. Getting to put smiles on their faces from something I've created."

Thank you, Amanda, for sharing your talent with kids who need a little extra joy. 💙

At Berger and Green, our team gives back in ways big and small. We're kicking off a series spotlighting the volunteer work our Berger and Green team does in the community.

Meet Abbey from our Social Security Disability team! When she's not helping clients at Berger and Green, she's volunteering with Our English Setter Rescue, the same organization she rescued her own dog from.

Abbey screens potential adopters to help find the right match, and she'll also be fostering dogs while they wait for their forever homes. "The volunteers were so helpful and genuinely want what's best for the dogs," Abbey says. Her favorite part? Knowing she helped match a rescue dog with a forever home.

Meet the newest addition to Marena's family (Social Security team)! Edmund Fitzgerald is a 6-month-old orange tabby rescued from Fur All Kitties — loving, curious, vocal, and always on the hunt for a snack (yours included 😉).

Edmund's sister Toasty lost her littermate Fridgey earlier this year, and needed a new best friend. Enter Edmund! The two hit it off instantly and now fill the house with chirps, meows, and chasing games.
