On September 8, 2023, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois certified classes of consumers in 7 states who alleged that Defendants—operators of “people search” websites that provide certain background information on individuals—used tens of thousands of individuals’ identities to solicit subscription purchases in violation of their states’ right of publicity statutes. The settlement resolves several cases that class counsel vigorously litigated and creates non-reversionary, state-specific settlement funds that total $10,102,897.

The Court appointed East End Trial Group's Kevin Tucker (He/Him) to represent the settlement classes, as well as his co-counsel from Edelson PC; Bursor & Fisher, P.A.; and Beaumont Costales LLC.

On September 19, 2023, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania appointed East End Trial Group attorney Chandler Steiger as class counsel of a nationwide class of individuals who claimed that Mondelez Global LLC lacked sufficient corporate policies and practices to ensure its websites, including for popular brands like Oreo and Ritz Crackers, were fully and equally accessible under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. 12181 et seq., to consumers with visual disabilities who use screen reader auxiliary aids to shop online.

On June 27, 2023, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania certified a nationwide class of individuals who claimed that P.C. Richard & Son, LLC lacked sufficient corporate policies and practices to ensure its website, https://www.pcrichard.com/, was fully and equally accessible under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. 12181 et seq., to consumers with visual disabilities who use screen reader auxiliary aids to shop online.

The Court appointed East End Trial Group attorney Stephanie Moore as Class Counsel, finding her and her team are “experienced and competent class action counsel who fairly and adequately protected the interests of the putative class throughout this litigation[.]”

On March 22, 2023, a United States Court appointed East End Trial Group's co-founder, Kevin Abramowicz, to represent 4,500+ Pennsylvania consumers who claim debt collectors made false, misleading, or deceptive representations in thousands of bankruptcy proceedings.

The class action concerns claims that Defendants LVNV Funding and Resurgent Capital Services violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) by filing proofs of claim in consumer bankruptcies that “falsely stated the amount of principal on the debt at issue and falsely stated that the debt did not include interest and fees.”
