This is a very sad event. We are glad it was reported by KALB News Channel 5. Things like this should be brought to light.

“At this point, when I look at the video, I'm thinking she's more of someone that...I almost took her as a zookeeper, just to be honest.”

KALB spoke with Courtland, who is suing the Rapides Parish School Board over the actions of a former teacher accused of physically assaulting his son.

Every email that passes through Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, or other email accounts are almost always not private. Many of these email providers access, review, and analyze emails for marketing, training, and other purposes. So, the privacy of your emails is limited by the honesty and integrity of the employees of these companies. Our latest Blog post, Privacy Is Essential in All Communications with an Attorney, discusses this issue and explains how we employ a state-of-the-art email system to keep your emails confidential and private. While we had a choice on using a free or cheap email system, we put your privacy above profit.

Today, we submitted a formal complaint with the Louisiana Attorney General. We are calling for a consumer fraud investigation into Google’s actions in removing favorable reviews from Google Business Profiles for small businesses. Google created the review system and controls what reviews can be posted. By keeping reviews down, the tech giant stands to make a considerable profit on advertising. Google figured out people trust reviews more than ads. So to put itself in a better position, it seems Google suppresses favorable reviews of small businesses. We hope the Louisiana Attorney General will investigate why the tech behemoth removes favorable reviews written by customers and then offers the same businesses advertising opportunities. Google appears to profit on advertising when it can stifle favorable reviews. The small business community of CenLa deserves better and the Attorney General should put the California tech giant over her knee to get it to “act right.”
