Operating under current court orders related to the Covid-19 pandemic , it is now possible to arrange to have your court hearings conducted via Zoom teleconferencing. The Circuit Court has stated that Zoom teleconferencing is the preferred method for court at this time. The District Court has indicated that it will allow Zoom teleconferencing for hearings when requested.
If you have a court hearing scheduled for the month of June and you have a Public Defender as an attorney, please contact the office as soon as possible so that we can determine the best way for you to appear for court- in person or via Zoom teleconference. If Zoom is chosen, we will need to give you the information necessary to use the Zoom teleconferencing option for your hearing.
For defendants who are represented by the Pikeville Public Defender’s Trial Office please call the number below to make those arrangements.

If you have hired private counsel, arrangements will have to be made through their individual offices.
The Court Orders regarding teleconferencing and appearance by Zoom may change in the future, and we are not aware at what point all court cases will return to in-person only. For these reasons, if you have court in July or later, please check back here regularly for updates.
