Lake days are supposed to be fun, relaxing, and enjoyable, and nothing can ruin that like dealing with bugs the whole time.

To keep the fun going, here are a few tips for dealing with bugs on the lake 🌊.

1. Mosquitos: install ceiling fans, screens, and citronella plants. All of these are great for deterring them from coming near you. Don't go to them either - avoid standing water, which is where they lay eggs.

2. Mayflies: install lights that emit a yellowish color and keep your yard clean. Lights with a yellow glow don't attract mayflies. Dead organic matter also attracts them. Keep your grass trimmed and remove leaves and branches.

3. Roaches and ants: don't leave food out and seal gaps around windows. Both ants and roaches are attracted to food, and they will crawl through gaps in your house to get to it.
