The saddest thing about today's corporate world is the internal politics, that some people are willing to play in order to get ahead. Instead of pulling others up, many managers choose to push people down.

Our Story

Just a little over 6 years ago I moved my wife and son from the suburbs of NW Phoenix into the heart of the city to get a taste of the urban life. We were tired of living in a cookie-cutter neighborhoods. Trying to connect with our neighbors was impossible because the garage door syndrome. We were longing for something different...a deeper connection with community, and culture.

We longed for a deeper connection to the city and to our neighbors. After moving into The Core we fell in love with the city life. The light rail became our friend, and our neighbors were actually neighborly!! We started hanging out as a family more, and discovering what it was that we truly loved. We love to eat, experience art, go to the symphony, and discover...and that’s what we did. We found that The Corridor filled a void in who we were.

The first home we lived in The Core was in the Del Norte historic district. This is a small little neighborhood surrounded by Encanto Park and Golf Course. We loved the historic homes, but we soon found the rental we were living in was not ideal. The deck was falling apart, and fruit rats made their way through the sewer pipes into the house through the toilet. Imagine your 4-year-old son running into the living room with his pants around his ankles screaming, “we have fish in the toilet, we have huge fish in the toilet!!” only to find out they were big-ass-fruit-rats!! We were move out of that place within a week. 🤣😂

After that house, we moved into a high-rise off of Central and Encanto (Called the Tapestry). We lived in the 5th floor facing downtown. The view was amazing, and we enjoyed our stay their, but we know it wasn’t our forever home. In less than 2 years we were ready to move on.
