El Papa Francisco Llama a la Compasión y la Justicia en la Inmigración

En un mensaje poderoso a los obispos de EE.UU. y al pueblo, el Papa Francisco abordó los desafíos actuales de la migración, instando a todos a reconocer la dignidad de cada ser humano. Expresó su profunda preocupación por las deportaciones masivas y enfatizó que Jesús mismo fue migrante y refugiado. El Papa nos recordó que las leyes y políticas deben guiarse por la justicia, la compasión y el respeto a los derechos humanos, y no por el miedo o la discriminación.

Hace un llamado a todos para rechazar las narrativas divisivas y, en su lugar, construir puentes de solidaridad, acogiendo y protegiendo a los más vulnerables. Como comunidad, debemos estar unidos para crear una sociedad que respete la dignidad de todos.

Pope Francis Calls for Compassion and Justice in Immigration

In a powerful message to U.S. bishops and the people, Pope Francis addressed the ongoing migration challenges, urging everyone to recognize the dignity of every human being. He expressed deep concern over mass deportations, emphasizing that Jesus himself was a migrant and refugee. The Pope reminded us that laws and policies must be guided by justice, compassion, and respect for human rights—not fear or discrimination.

He calls on all people to reject divisive narratives and instead build bridges of solidarity, welcoming and protecting the most vulnerable. As a community, we must stand together to create a society that embraces the dignity of all.

Let us pray for those affected by immigration struggles and ask Our Lady of Guadalupe to guide and protect them.

Conoce a Michael Zistatsis, un orgulloso inmigrante que llegó a Estados Unidos con grandes sueños y una determinación implacable para tener éxito. Dejar atrás su país no fue fácil, pero estaba impulsado por la esperanza de un mejor futuro para él y su familia. Trabajó duro, enfrentó innumerables desafíos y aprovechó cada oportunidad que se le presentó.

Hoy, es el orgulloso dueño de Alexi's y Christo's, dos restaurantes exitosos.

Cuando se le preguntó sobre su trayectoria, el Sr. Zistatsis compartió: “No todos los inmigrantes están aquí para causar daño. Muchos de nosotros estamos aquí para trabajar duro, contribuir y dar algo a cambio. Estoy orgulloso de mi herencia y agradecido por las oportunidades que me ha dado Estados Unidos”.

Leaving behind his home country wasn’t easy, but he was driven by the hope for a better future for himself and his family.
