Watching my children at our wedding was one of the most emotional moments of my life. They didn’t just witness a marriage—they witnessed a miracle.

We’ve walked through some incredibly hard seasons together. There were days when I didn’t know how we were going to make it.

We experienced heartbreak, uncertainty, tears, and moments that could have broken us. But somehow, God kept carrying us forward, one step at a time.

Looking across the room and seeing them laughing, smiling, and genuinely happy filled my heart in a way I can’t fully explain. It reminded me that the difficult chapters were never going to be the whole story.

This wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love between my husband and me. It was a celebration of our family’s healing, resilience, and a brand-new beginning.

To my children: thank you for growing with me instead of giving up on me. We’ve grown through pain, through change, and now we get to grow through joy.

No matter where life takes us next, I hope you always know this—we’re not just surviving anymore.

We’re living. And I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for all of us, because we’re going to keep growing together.

People see a bride on her way to her wedding.

I see years of prayers, healing, tears, therapy, forgiveness, growth, and God’s faithfulness all sitting in the backseat of that SUV.

As I looked out that window, I wasn’t thinking about centerpieces or the reception.

I was thinking about the woman I used to be.

The one who wondered if she’d ever smile like this again.
The one who questioned if love would ever find her again.
The one who kept showing up, even when starting over felt lonely.

That ride wasn’t just taking me to a church.

It was carrying me into a promise that God had been writing long before I could see it.

Every mile reminded me that sometimes the longest journey isn’t the drive to your destination…

It’s the road from heartbreak to healing.

Getting engaged taught me something I never expected…
big life decisions come with a LOT of emotions. 😂💍

There were moments I was excited.
Moments I overthought everything.
Moments I wondered if the timing would ever feel “perfect.”

And honestly… buying a home can feel the exact same way.

People think it’s just paperwork and picking a house, but it’s deeper than that. It’s your future. Your peace. Your next chapter. And sometimes the process feels emotional because the decision actually matters.

What I’ve learned is this:

The “perfect” moment usually doesn’t arrive wrapped in certainty.
Sometimes you just keep taking the next right step… and suddenly everything comes together in a way that makes sense later.

That’s how my engagement felt.
And that’s how so many home journeys feel too.

So if you’re in that season of waiting, questioning, preparing, or trying to figure out your next move… you’re probably closer than you think. ❤️

And yes… I still cried, overthought things, got excited, and acted completely normal while my whole life was changing. 😂

You had a dream of becoming a real estate agent as a little girl in my heels.👠 Now that is a reality.

Also, Future CPA. God made a way and an example out of you.

You officially made me a mom. I just love you so much Saniyah. There’s a lot of girls that have your name but there is only one you.

God gets all the glory because he took over when I was crying when you were crying as an infant all night long. I told him I can’t and he showed me that He could.
