“Hi, my name is Liam Haines, I’m a soon-to-be graduate from The William Penn Charter School and a rising freshman at Wake Forest University. For the past five weeks, I’ve been an intern at Solow, Hartnett, and Galvan Immigration Law. Starting out, I didn’t really know what to expect. I knew I was interested in the field, but wasn’t aware of the wide range of material the firm deals with. When I first walked through that door, everyone was welcoming, but more than that, patient, and eager to explain immigration law to me. I learned so much on that first day: about the system, legal processes, how an office functions, and even most people’s names! Whether it was becoming best friends with the office’s scanner or helping with cover letters and case research, my time here has been an extremely valuable learning experience. The trust and overall positive attitude of the office, even when dealing with such tough topics, has been a major highlight for me and has made me appreciate my many mentors around the office greatly. Homecoming Friday 🇺🇸

We have had the privilege of working with Teresa and her husband, Ausencio, for the past seven years. High school sweethearts originally from Mexico, this remarkable couple officially completed their immigration journey last week when Teresa was issued her permanent resident visa at the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juárez.

After years of patience, perseverance, and faith, their family can finally move forward together with security and peace of mind. We are honored to have been part of their journey and could not be happier to welcome Teresa home.

Congratulations to Teresa and Ausencio on this life-changing milestone!

Hemos tenido el privilegio de trabajar con Teresa y su esposo, Ausencio, durante los últimos siete años. Esta admirable pareja, novios desde la preparatoria y originarios de México, finalmente completó su proceso migratorio la semana pasada cuando Teresa recibió su visa de residente permanente en el Consulado de Estados Unidos en Ciudad Juárez.

Such a pleasure and honor speaking today with Renee Hykel and Anu Thomas at the American Immigration Lawyers Association Philadelphia Chapter Conference on complex issues in naturalization (U.S. Citizenship applications). Thank you to .__ for writing and narrating this reel. Black History Month is a reminder that immigration and civil rights have always been deeply intertwined. The forced migration of Africans through slavery, followed by centuries of exclusionary laws, shaped the very foundations of U.S. immigration policy. It was the courage and resistance of Black communities that led to landmark changes—such as the Civil Rights
Movement and the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965—opening lawful pathways for generations of immigrants worldwide.

Today, Afro-descendant immigrants continue to face barriers, yet they remain essential to the economic, cultural, and social fabric of this country. Honoring Black history means recognizing this struggle, protecting immigrant rights, and continuing the fight for justice,
dignity, and equality under the law.

Stunning decision from Texas District Judge Fred Biery. ordering the release of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, who was arrested by ICE while wearing a blue bunny hat and Spider-Man backpack, and his father, Adrian Cornejo Arias. From the order:

Civics lesson to the government: Administrative warrants issued by the executive branch to
itself do not pass probable cause muster. That is called the fox guarding the henhouse. The
Constitution requires an independent judicial officer.

Accordingly, the Court finds that the Constitution of these United States trumps this
administration’s detention of petitioner Adrian Conejo Arias and his minor son, L.C.R. The Great Writ
and release from detention are GRANTED pursuant to the attached Judgment.

Observing human behavior confirms that for some among us, the perfidious lust for unbridled
power and the imposition of cruelty in its quest know no bounds and are bereft of human decency. And
the rule of law be damned.

Ultimately, Petitioners may, because of the arcane United States immigration system, return to
their home country, involuntarily or by self-deportation. But that result should occur through a more orderly and humane policy than currently in place.
