Bochetto & Lentz, P.C. has secured a win for Center City residents: a Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas judge has denied the City's request to lift the injunction halting work on the Pine and Spruce bike lane project.

The firm, representing neighborhood residents, successfully opposed the City's motion. As a result, the injunction remains in effect while the underlying lawsuit continues through the court.

Bochetto & Lentz attorneys Al Belmont and Kean Maynard recently secured a $3.5 million judgment for their clients in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Commerce Program.

The case involved a highly complex commercial dispute arising from a major Philadelphia-area real estate development project, unpaid promissory notes, bankruptcy-related issues, and disputed non-recourse provisions.

On behalf of a coalition of Italian-American groups and individuals, including cultural organizations, Joseph Piccin (co-counsel), alongside George Bochetto, initiated litigation in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio yesterday against the illegal and wrongful removal of the statue of Christopher Columbus from its location at Columbus City Hall in July 2020.

The complaint was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and includes a number of Italian-American groups, cultural institutions, and the estate of Edoardo Alfieri, the famous Italian sculptor who made the Christopher Columbus Statue in the 20th century.
