Stellantis has initiated a recall of approximately 1,076,999 vehicles in the US due to a power steering system defect that could increase the risk of fire. Separately, Stellantis has also recalled an additional 17,277 vehicles in the US due to a battery pack defect that could cause fires, even with the ignition off. Last month, the group had already recalled over 419,000 vehicles for an issue related to the improper deployment of side airbags, according to Reuters.

Stellantis is recalling over 1 million Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators over a spontaneous fire risk, telling drivers to park outside and away from structures while the automaker works on a solution. The 2021-2025 Wranglers and Gladiators, with an estimated count of 1,076,999 affected vehicles, may have an electrical issue with the electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring that can lead to fire. Recalled vehicles should be parked outside and away from structures while Stellantis works to develop a remedy, the company said. Currently, there is no known solution to the issue, though the automaker said it "anticipates a solution no later than July."

Kia recalls 6,264 2027 Kia Telluride and Kia Telluride Hybrid models due to a possible seat belt defect. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warns that the driver’s seat may be the most dangerous spot in certain examples of the SUV, because the seat belt strap may not extend, becoming unusable, which could fail to restrain the driver in a crash, thus increasing the risk of injury. The cause of the defect is believed to be connected to an "incorrect vehicle sensor" that was installed in certain driver seat belt assemblies by one of Kia's suppliers. NHTSA said the issue was due to a supplier error.

Messa Law Founding Partner Joseph L. Messa Jr. has been appointed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to the Civil Procedural Rules Committee. This committee consists of judges and experienced attorneys who are knowledgeable about state civil practice. They support the Supreme Court in the preparation, revision, publication, and administration of the governing civil matters in the Courts of Common Pleas. He will serve a 6-year term beginning on July 1, 2026.

Mrs. Ayres’ well-rounded career has spanned over two decades, litigating medical malpractice, workplace accidents, premises liability, products liability, motor vehicle accidents, commercial trucking, Mass Tort, civil rights, and more.

Susan is admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the state of New Jersey. She is also admitted to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey.
