As summer comes to a close and we head into September, we are reminiscing on a fun-filled virtual summer event with the whole KILP team! Powered by With Confetti we spent the afternoon competing in trivia kickball, tug o’ words, and even a group fitness room, all from wherever we were logging in that day.
It's these moments of connection that make our staff feel like a collaborative team, even when we're miles apart. Cheers to a great summer, and we can't wait for what's next!

✨WIN OF THE MONTH✨
As summer travel season winds down, this case is a good reminder that immigration strategy is often the invisible piece keeping the hospitality industry running smoothly behind the scenes.

A member-based luxury hospitality company owns and manages high-end properties around the world, giving its members access to a portfolio of destinations rather than a single one. When the company acquired a new asset to add multiday excursions to that portfolio, the staff member running them held real managerial authority. He selected and directed personnel, planned itineraries, and controlled operations, but almost none of it looked like a traditional corporate management role on paper.

Klasko attorney Megan E Kludt built the record USCIS needed: mapping a multinational corporate structure across the entity that owned the global properties, documenting the manager's authority over personnel and operations, and establishing his compensation and function within the organization. They then tied that authority to his U.S. role as a property manager overseeing the care of the company's luxury estates and the extensive vendor network supporting them.

The result: an approved L-1A, and proof that unconventional industries meet the standard when the petition is built around what a manager actually does, not how conventionally their employer documents it.
