I had the chance to unwind with a coffee and reflect on a meaningful week—successfully resolving two cases totaling $4.8 million.

What makes it most rewarding isn’t the number, but the people. These are great individuals who went through very difficult circumstances. While no result can restore what they lost, I’m hopeful this outcome helps them move forward with greater comfort and less financial stress.

I’m grateful they trusted me with something so important, and thankful to all past and present clients—as well as those who continue to refer friends and family. This practice is built on that trust, and I don’t take it lightly.

Most clients become friends, and many of you reading this are part of that. You know who you are—thank you.

An hour after resolving one of these cases for $3.5 million, I received three motions from defendants in another case trying to block another deserving client from justice. The fight never stops and I will continue to meet it head on.

Onward and upward.

I had a settlement conference today in Philly. I was told that I’m demanding way too much and I’ll never get that at trial and why my client’s case is so bad. So I stopped the mediator and said “respectfully I know the case and the issues we have but I like my client and I think a jury will find the story of what he lost compelling.” I was then told “then the case won’t settle.” To which I responded then it won’t settle - we can go to trial. And thereupon the conference ended so it’s coffee time. When you need a lawyer do you want one who will be browbeaten into settling at any cost or do you want a trial lawyer?
