A major copyright dispute is unfolding just days before the 2026 Barber Vintage Festival.

Michael T. van der Veen and Brian D. Schroeder Jr. have filed a federal lawsuit alleging that copyrighted photographs of motorcycle racing legend Eraldo Ferracci were used without permission in festival promotions, social media, commissioned artwork, posters, auctions, and fundraising activities.

The complaint alleges the use continued even after formal demands to stop.
