Once an Owl, always an Owl! Congratulations to RRD Partner Harris Chernow on being elected Secretary of the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA).

A two-time Temple Owl, Harris earned his degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University followed by his law degree from the Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law. His Temple involvement has continued well beyond graduation, he most recently served as TUAA co-counsel, has served twice as president of the Owl Club Executive Committee, and has held a variety of other TUAA leadership roles.

We’re proud to see Harris continue to give back to the Temple community and take on this new leadership role.

For many parents, August means getting ready to send a child off to college. Beyond the bedding, supplies and dorm-room essentials, there are important legal documents parents should have in place before their child heads to campus.

Putting trial skills to the test! RRD Partner Robert W. Small served as a juror for the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Trial Academy, where new attorneys had the opportunity to put their courtroom skills into practice and receive feedback from experienced trial attorneys.

This is the second year Bob has rolled up his sleeves to help the next generation of litigators sharpen their skills.

RRD Partner and Hospitality Chair Harris Chernow and his wife Amy Chernow enjoyed this week's Philadelphia magazine Best of Philly® Party at the National Constitution Center.

The annual event brings together members of the Philadelphia community to celebrate the people, places, and businesses recognized in Philadelphia Magazine's annual Best of Philly® issue. It was a great evening of connecting with friends and colleagues while celebrating everything that makes our region so special, including great food and beverage, and a visit with “Mr. Monopoly,” originally known as “Rich Uncle Pennybags.”

RRD is proud to support the recent Ulster Project Delaware 5K in Wilmington. The Ulster Project Delaware brings together teenagers from Northern Ireland and the United States for a four-week cultural exchange each summer, fostering friendship, understanding, and lasting connections through shared experiences with local host families.

Our own Managing Partner, Lou Rizzo and Michele Rizzo have experienced the program firsthand as a host family, making this cause especially meaningful to our firm.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has taken the first step toward eliminating the federal EEO-1 through EEO-6 reporting requirements. The proposal is not yet in effect, current filing obligations remain in place, and several states will continue to require workforce demographic reporting regardless of the federal outcome.
