Some law firms work for corporations. We work for the people who keep them running.

The Machinists. The Shipbuilders. The Electricians. The workers who show up before sunrise and don't leave until the job is done.

At Schwarz & Schwarz, that is who we show up for Every. Single. Time.

June kicks off National Safety Month - and we're talking about something that shouldn't need to be said, but it bears repeating.

Safety should never come second to production. No deadline, no quota, no bottom line is worth a worker's life or livelihood. When employers prioritize output over people, workers get hurt.

Know your rights. Know your options. Reach out to learn more.

Forklifts are one of the leading causes of serious workplace injuries. They are also an essential part of the transportation, warehousing, and manufacturing industries.

Tip-overs. Struck-by incidents. Pedestrian accidents. Load instability. These are not freak events. They are documented, preventable risks that happen when speed is prioritized over procedure.

Slow down. Check your load. Know your surroundings. Stay safe.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor the men and women who served this country, and those who gave their lives in that service. Their sacrifice is the reason we have the freedoms we carry into every workplace, every union hall, and every negotiation.

The labor movement and the American military have always shared something fundamental: the belief that the person standing next to you matters, and that you do not leave them behind.

To the fallen, and to the families who carry them forward, we remember.

National Transportation Safety Week is a moment to recognize the men and women who keep this country moving, and who take on real risk every single day to do it.

It is an honor to work alongside IAM Union District 141, IAM District 142, District 19 IAMAW and Transportation Communications Union / IAM. The work you do matters. The safety standards you uphold matter. And the families waiting for you at home matter most of all.

We are committed to working together toward one goal: every member goes home safe.

You don't have to figure it out alone.

To better understand your rights, comment on this post, and we’ll reach out to you directly.

Before any maintenance begins, the energy source must be controlled.

Lockout/tagout procedures exist to protect workers from unexpected releases of hazardous energy, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic energy. In shipbuilding, paper mills, and heavy industrial environments, skipping this step can mean the difference between a worker going home and a serious injury.

It is not a formality. It is a lifeline.

Today, Schwarz & Schwarz stands with our union brothers and sisters.

Eighty-nine years ago, the National Labor Relations Act established the right of American workers to organize, to bargain collectively, and to act together for better working conditions. That right didn't come easily, and it doesn't protect itself.

We recognize the importance of that foundation, and the workers who continue to uphold it every day.

Happy Mother's Day to the women who hold everything together, especially those whose families put on a hard hat every morning.

You are seen, you are appreciated, and you deserve a day that shows it.

For workers in shipyards, on military bases, and in industrial facilities, electrical hazards aren’t theoretical—they’re part of the job.

That’s why procedures matter.

Lockout/tagout matters.
Safety standards matter.

Because they don’t just check a box—
They save lives.

To every electrician, maintenance worker, and safety professional doing it the right way, every single day: your attention to detail protects more than a jobsite—it protects lives.

At Schwarz & Schwarz, we’ve seen firsthand what’s at stake. That’s why we stand behind the workers and safety practices that make going home at the end of the day possible.
