The birthplace of the nation is getting ready to celebrate the Fourth of July and America's 250th birthday as festivities kick into high gear in Philadelphia.

However, extreme heat is forcing many event cancellations, including Philadelphia's "Salute to Independence" parade.

This, as an Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the entire Philadelphia region.

Temperatures in the city are expected to be around 100 degrees through Saturday. DHKN&S wants you to stay hydrated if you must be outside… oh, and STAY AWAY FROM USING YOUR OWN FIREWORKS!

DHKN&S want you to BE AWARE that the NJ State Motor Vehicle Commission is on target to meet the July 1 deadline to begin a new law that places ALL kinds of e-bikes — from those that need to be pedaled to activate a motor to fast e-moto bikes that are like a motorcycle — in the same category in New Jersey.

Owners will now need to have a LICENSE, and REGISTER and INSURE their bikes, 6 months after the new law takes effect. Violators would face a $50 fine.

The state Motor Vehicle Commission is on schedule to begin registering and licensing e-bikes in July. Here's what you need to do to comply with the new law.
