Let’s talk about the freeze response and how our brain doesn’t always work in the moment the way we think it should. Freeze response is a very real response to a traumatic event. We’ve all experienced something similar on a much smaller scale…so if you believe that can happen, you should also believe the freeze response also exists in a bigger situation too.

What do you think? Have you heard this analogy before?

In addition to being a lawyer, I also decide cases as an arbitrator in Philadelphia. We listen to the evidence, rule on objections, and decide the case.

It’s not really jury selection, but more like jury de-selection.

Presented a CLE recently and got great feedback. Thankful for opportunity to present Pennsylvania Association for Justice!

Had my first NASCAR experience today at Dover, Delaware International Speedway. Such a cool, family-friendly day!

A few things you need to bring:
Water (lots of it), snacks, sunscreen, and a personal fan if it’s going to be hot like today was! 😅

Alex Murdaugh conviction overturned in South Carolina. What does this mean for the family?

Abuse perpetrated within the family is important to discuss as well. If you come from a safe family or household, it may be hard to understand how an adult who knows abuse is occurring doesn’t take steps to stop it. Why didn’t the other parent or adult step in and protect the child? I ask the same questions, bur the reality is the adults don’t always intervene. They sometimes cover it up. This is never ok even if there are reasons for not protecting the child.

One thing I want survivors of parental or familial abuse to know is, it’s not your fault. It’s not your job to protect yourself. You were a child and it is the adults’ job to keep you safe. Despite what you’ve been through, healing is possible. ❤️‍🩹
