I am pleased and proud to share that former prosecutor, Christine Burke joined my firm on August 1st and she hit the ground running! Yesterday, in the 33rd Circuit Court together, we obtained an outright dismissal of two of the three charges brought against our client and after just 20 minutes of deliberations, the jury acquitted our client on the remaining felony charge! Christine is a native to Northern Michigan, born and raised in Alpena. She brings to the firm experience from the Colorado Department of the Attorney General, the Colorado Public Defenders Office, Legal Services of Northern Michigan, and the Emmet County Prosecutor’s Office.
