Waud began his journey of fighting for those most in need. After graduating from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree and receiving his Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law, he returned to northern Michigan to pursue his goal of dedicating his career to helping those who found themselves disabled and no longer able to work. Over the past four decades, he deepened his kno
wledge of the law through membership in the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representative (NOSSCR), serving on the Board and as Chair of the Social Security Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Michigan, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid (now knows as Michigan Legal Services) and as President of the Char-Emmet County Bar Association. Notably, he was selected as one of 21 Delegates to the Third International Conference on Labor Law and Social Security in Havana, Cuba, in 1999. His dedication has helped thousands of disabled individuals receive the benefits they deserved. Waud’s passion for helping the disabled for more than a decade. She has followed in Mr. Waud’s footsteps while expanding on his experience and providing additional services not yet seen in the State of Michigan. She introduced video technology into the Waud & Lamb, PLLC conference room allowing hearings before Administrative Law Judges to be conducted without the need to travel far distances. She speaks at State Bar of Michigan conferences offering expertise on various topics important to the practice of disability law and has been fortunate to participate in NOSSCR in a greater role of Board of Director’s 6th Circuit Representative. She continues Mr. Waud’s vision of providing the best legal services available in northern Michigan.
