🎗️Positive changes to ABLE accounts for individual with disabilities: 🎗️

Beginning in 2026, the ABLE Age Adjustment Act brings meaningful improvements to ABLE accounts that expand access and strengthen financial flexibility for individuals with disabilities.

The age of disability onset has increased from 26 to 46, opening eligibility to many adults who were previously excluded. In addition, the annual contribution limit has increased to $20,000, allowing greater opportunity to save.

These changes make it easier for individuals with disabilities to save for qualified expenses on a tax advantaged basis, without jeopardizing essential benefits such as Medicaid. MISLEADING CORRESPONDENCE ALERT:
Deed Filing, LLC Registration, & Property Notice Letters are Targeting Homeowners and New Business Owners.

At Moody and Associates, we want to alert our clients and neighbors to a growing number of letters being addressed to members of our community that target property owners and individuals who have recently formed new LLCs. These misleading notices appear authentic, though they declare that they are not affiliated with a government agency.

These official-looking letters claim you must take action to pay for:

-“Deed filing” or “property record” services
-“LLC certificate” or “business registration” processing
-“Property assessment” or “property profile reports”

These documents often look legitimate, using government-style logos, seals, and addresses, but they are not from any official agency and do not require payment. (See a few of the examples we have posted here for reference.)

Here’s what you should do if you receive a letter:
-Do not send money or personal information to anyone without verifying their legitimacy.
-Check legitimacy directly with your county or with the Secretary of State using their official websites.
-If you’re unsure, contact our office. We’re happy to review any questionable documents or notices at no charge to our clients.

Your peace of mind and protection are our top priorities. Please share this message to help protect friends, family, and neighbors from these misleading practices.
