Patients at hospitals should never be denied religious services, period. As an attorney, I can say candidly that across this nation we are witnessing acts of ignorance and cruelty that are frankly unbelievable. Luckily there is a growing army of incredible lawyers fighting for patient rights. More to come.

Should I buy a domain name that contains a well known trademark or brand? Answer: Most likely NO!

Trademark infringement is the unauthorized use of a trademark or service mark on or in connection with goods and/or services in a manner that is likely to cause confusion, deception, or mistake about the source of goods and/or services. Using a well known trademark like say "PizzaHut" in your domain is a bad idea. For example PizzaHutDiscountDeals.com would be inviting an infringement action because consumers would likely believe the domain is associated with Pizza Hut.

Be more creative and avoid the legal issues of using well known trade names in your domains. DNJurist.com

Q: There is an account on a social media site using my trademark without my authorization. How do I get them to remove the unauthorized use of my trademark?

A: Major social media outlets generally have a policy to reduce trademark (and copyright) infringement. If you can offer proof that you own the rights in trademark, and that the use is an infringement of your rights, the social media outlet will generally remove the infringing use. Providing a trademark registration number from the United States Patent and Trademark Office provides a solid argument that the mark should be removed. If you don't have the trademark registered there may still be some options available for you in removing the mark. Either way consider consulting a licensed attorney to discuss your trademark matter.

Q: Why register a federal copyright?
A: Federal copyright registration provides notice of ownership in the work. Additionally, if registration is made before an infringement, or within three months after publication of the work, statutory damages and attorney’s fees will be available to the copyright owner.
