The Deptford Township Police Department makes the following statement regarding the Honorable Transfer of Patrol Officer Bobby Shisler from the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office to Boucher Funeral Home. The Transfer will take place tomorrow, May 9th, 2023.

- DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP POLICE OFFICERS -

All Deptford Township Police Officers not assigned to the procession detail will muster at Boucher funeral home at 8:30 am.

- OUTSIDE LAW ENFORCEMENT -

All other designated law-enforcement personnel, other than Deptford PD, will muster at the Deptford Township Community Center, located at 1219 Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ, 08096. Muster time is 8:30 am.

- COMMUNITY MEMBERS -

Any members of the Deptford Township or surrounding communities wishing to observe the Honorable Transfer are asked to line Delsea Drive, between Cooper Street and Herman Avenue, any time after 9:45 am. Delsea Drive will be blocked off between Cooper Street and Brenner Drive for approximately 45 minutes.

- FIRE DEPARTMENTS -

Any fire departments wishing to take part in the Honorable Transfer are asked to muster in the parking lot of the Bowlero bowling alley, in the 1300 block of Delsea Drive. Muster time is 8:30 am.

- MEDIA MEMBERS -

All members of the media are asked to stage on Herman Avenue at Delsea Drive anytime after 8:30 am.

- HONOR GUARD UNITS -

Any honor guard units wishing to take part in either the Honorable Transfer or the formal funeral services are asked to email [email protected].

Description
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Hands-on altering uniforms. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are done properly, read and accurately identify the customer's needs per the Work Order Instructions. Meet Production deadlines. Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations with ability to problem solve individual sizing issues. Perform uniform sewing, alternations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency to include tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, placing zippers, adding pant stripes, apply patches, apply name strips, and apply stripes.

Requirements
Skills required:

Attention to detail
Must be able to multitask, prioritize and work under deadline/pressure

A wide range of knowledge of different types of designs and uses of tools and machines

Great knowledge of different types of sewing machines such as single needle, double needle, blind stitch, and merrow machines

A great understanding of feed a thread through machine guides

Great knowledge of different fabrics
Ability to pick the correct tool or equipment needed to do a job

The knowledge to adjust machine functions depending on the type of fabric being used

The knowledge to select the proper thread to use for certain types of materials

Ability to apply pins and markings to the fabric for different types of designs

Customer service mindset and excellent interpersonal skills

Demonstrates self confidence - self starter - takes the initiative and follows through

High level of integrity

Skills preferred:

Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the tailoring industry
