As I spend this Friday afternoon babysitting my youngest granddaughter, Lucia, I am reminded of the stark contrast between my current surroundings and my upbringing in NYC. It is mid-February, yet I am enjoying the warmth in my backyard. My family is fortunate to live in close proximity, with my daughter Alexa residing across the lake and my parents down the block Later today, I will drive to the beach to walk with my youngest daughter, Layla, and watch the sunset. Florida living has been the best decision I ever made!
