Did you know that there are a number of new tax deductions and credits available for taxpayers in the 2023 tax year?

Some of these new credits include:
The Clean Energy Credit: This credit is available to homeowners who install solar panels, wind turbines, or other qualified energy-efficient improvements.

The Electric Vehicle Credit: This credit is available to taxpayers who purchase an electric vehicle.

The Child and Dependent Care Credit: This credit has been expanded for the 2023 tax year, and taxpayers can now claim a credit for up to 50% of their qualified dependent care expenses.

There are also a number of new tax deductions available for businesses in the 2023 tax year. Some of these new deductions include:

The Qualified Business Income Deduction: This deduction allows pass-through business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income from their taxable income.

The Research and Development Tax Credit: This credit allows businesses to deduct a portion of their research and development expenses from their taxable income.
