Olivia has provided training and seminars to the insurance industry in claims handling, Department of Insurance Fair Claims Practices Act Regulations certification, DOI Regulations relating to Special Investigations, policy Appraisals and CEA Earthquake Training Certification. Gilkeson began her law career in Illinois in 2000. She has since relocated to California with her Marine husband, Marcus, and their three children. Karen began practicing insurance-related law, conducting examinations under oath and assisting insurers with coverage and claim issues in 2006. As an associate with Bissell & Associates, P.C., Ms. Gilkeson uses her insurance experience to assist insureds and other clients with all aspects of first party property-related claims and litigation, including discovery, depositions, law and motion practice, and trial preparation. She has also represented clients in homeowner association disputes, provided opinions to HOA Boards, and is involved in other property-related types of cases.
