TEN The Esquire Network

TEN The Esquire Network The Esquire Network ("TEN") hosts networking events for lawyers to meet lawyers to create their inner circle of referral sources. At The Esquire Network (TENesquire) attorneys build relationships with other attorneys to increase the number of referrals they receive and give.
(1)

If you are a lawyer, think about it for a minute: From whom do most of your best referrals come? For most of you the answer will be other attorneys. Our method for facilitating this relationship-building process is time-tested. We make it easy and - according to our members - enjoyable. Check out the website at www.TENesquire.com. We have 30+ monthly meetings in Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange Counties. In 2015 we will expand into the Inland Empire, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, Arizona, Nevada and even China. You may attend as many as you want for one month free of charge. (Travel expenses not included.) Simply RSVP at www.TENesquire.com. As a members, you enjoy access to all meetings. We encourage you to try out multiple meetings and then settle in to 1-3 that you attend consistently to build relationships with the other regular attendees at those groups. Members also receive daily Leads & Needs emails from other members.

Join moderator, Sharen Ghatan, for her monthly meeting based out of the Westwood area today at 12 PM PDT Online!

This month, we have TEN member, Mark Tseselsky, speaking to the group about the intersection between criminal defense and juvenile dependency .

Mark L. Tseselsky grew up in the former Soviet Union. Only half-jokingly, Mark likes to say that dealing with social workers reminds him of his Communist homeland. At the same time, he is happily married to a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Marsha helps people who are dying or chronically ill, but she has the same training as all social workers do. So Mark does not have to go far to get the social worker’s perspective. It makes him a better advocate. Mark is also passionate about representing his clients in family law cases. He is a good listener. Mark sees his role as part advocate, but counselor, as he will help you get through the dark times. In 2005, Mark joined Law Offices of Vincent W. Davis & Associates. Mark’s focus was family law and juvenile dependency.
In September of 2012, Mark launched a boutique law firm focused on helping clients with their family law and juvenile dependency issues.

Join moderator, Leigh Chandler, for this month's mid-week coffee break (formerly known as the Brentwood meeting) - Tomorrow morning at 9 AM PDT online!

This month our theme is How to Win Friends and Influence People. No, we’re not doing a book club. But, now that a lot of us are getting back out into the world, we are going to talk about people skills! For our three breakout rooms, we will discuss topics like: our social strengths and weaknesses… the qualities you think make up “charisma”… how to be a good listener in person, on the phone, and on Zoom… etc. Be prepared to do a nice brief introduction, so we all have time to share some of what we learned from each other in the small groups before the end of the meeting.

Join moderator, Anthony McClaren, for the next meeting of the monthly Athlete's and Adventurers Group today at 12 PM in person!

We are excited to announce that we are hosting an in person networking event at Baja Cantina in Marina Del Rey, California. We will have a reserved area, and you will need to order food, but it’s lunch, and it’s Mexican food, so no problemo! Your decision to attend is completely up to your comfort level. The concept of assumption of known risk should be obvious to all in this group, as well as an understanding that vaccinations are great, while any hint of feeling bad means don’t come. If this tickles your fancy, RSVP on the website and we look forward to seeing you there!

Everyone who plans to attend this event must complete a release form that will be emailed to all who RSVP.

This is a group of attorneys with a shared common interest in life’s adventures, athletic pursuits, and experiences. We dare to take the path less traveled, embrace cultural diversity, enjoy unique cuisines, wines, and spirts, and move outside of our personal comfort zones. Participation is open to any member of TEN who has an interest or flair for adventure, for learning about unique cultures, cuisines, and locations around the world, or who has participated in or an interest in fitness and physical challenge.

Please RSVP on the TEN website at http://www.tenesquire.com/rsvpmaker/sherman-oaks-morning-group/ so that our host knows how much food to have available. If you have already RSVPed, then thank you! This Month’s Topic: “NO”-vember! As lawyers, we usually strive to do whatever we can to help a client or to advance our careers… but how are you at saying “NO”? Do you have challenging clients who always call after hours and expect you to respond? Do you give in when potential clients request a discount in your fee for fear that they will go elsewhere? Do you share ideas with or give advice to competitors? Do you ever wish you turned away certain opportunities that you only took so as not to look bad? There is “NO” doubt that this conversation about setting limits, both professionally and personally, will be one of our most interesting discussions yet! Hope to see you tomorrow!!
Save the date for our TEN Sherman Oaks meeting next Tuesday, August 8, 2017. THIS MONTH’S TOPIC: SUMMER SOCIAL! Social media is increasing in popularity for professionals. When it comes to sending referrals, do you post recommendations on social media sites? If not, what is holding you back? Join us Tuesday, August 8 for this super social seminar! RSVP at
