Another example of how there is no such thing as “deregulation” of the free market. Regulations either help consumers or they help big business. Time to repeal the "regulation" that prevents local governments from imposing limits on rent increases. This has not helped individual landlords - only the big real estate companies that are gobbling up homes and apartment buildings. I could not afford to pay rents here myself. This will backfire when no one is left to rent their properties. People working full-time should not be struggling like this.

It is too easy to convict an innocent person in the United States — and next to impossible to get them out of prison once they've been convicted.

While there are many programs for victims of domestic violence, and rightfully so, there is also help for abusers. Abusers can change if they accept responsibility for the abuse and commit to changing their behavior. Abusers come from a wide range of backgrounds including doctors, lawyers, therapists, and even police officers. If you believe you are an abuser, and would like some help, you can contact the National Domestic Violence hotline.

While people do have the capacity to change, they need to deeply want to and be committed to all aspects of change in order to begin to do so.

The falling crime rate has led some defenders of the controversial policy to admit they were wrong.

More than 60 individuals arrested and charged with possession of less than 1 ounce of ma*****na because no one would claim it. "The individuals arrested were predominantly black males...Most were college athletes or members of the military who were home for Christmas break." Some of the other kids lost their jobs. So unnecessary.

After no one admitted to owning the stash, police hauled in dozens of people because the pot was "within everyone's reach or control."
