Business transitions often involve far more than negotiating purchase terms.
Porzio's Corporate team recently represented a client in a stock purchase transaction involving a longtime, family-owned Long Island day camp and childcare facility that has served its community for nearly 60 years. While straightforward on its face, the transaction required careful coordination of acquisition financing, extensive due diligence, and the resolution of legacy title and lien issues to help bring the matter to a successful close.
The transaction highlights the importance of experienced legal counsel when navigating ownership transitions, business succession planning, commercial lending requirements, and the unique considerations that can arise in closely held family businesses with decades of operating history.
Congratulations to Corporate attorneys Donald Rassiger and Raquel Maragh, along with Senior Paralegal Sue Gesualdi on supporting this successful transaction.
