Sometimes our circumstances change and the child support you are currently receiving is not enough. You can go back to court and modify your child support award.

A civil annulment is a court judgment under N.J.S.A. 2A:34-1 declaring that a marriage was never legally valid from its inception. Unlike divorce, which ends a valid marriage, an annulment treats the marriage as though it never occurred. The grounds are narrow, the burden of proof rests on the petitioner, and the process requires demonstrating a specific statutory defect that existed at the time of the marriage. Since it's National Dog Day, we thought we'd talk about divorce and the battle over who gets the dog.
New Jersey, the law legally classifies pets as personal property, meaning a dispute over a dog is handled through equitable distribution rather than traditional child custody.
