⚖️ Verdict In: Not Guilty ⚖️
Attorneys Elizabeth Peskin and Gabby Humber fought tirelessly to defend their client against serious allegations, including Domestic Battery by Strangulation, Aggravated Assault with a D***** Weapon, False Imprisonment, and Domestic Battery.

After only 20 minutes of deliberation, the jury returned a verdict of Not Guilty on all counts.

Congratulations David!

David served 34 years on a murder case out Montgomery County. David maintained his innocence and retained Maxwell + Tillman to review his case for avenues of release. Attorney Gabrielle Humber discovered David’s trial lawyer failed to have a forensic mitigation examination performed. Attorney Humber secured the service of a mitigation expert and presented the findings to Alabama board of pardon and paroles. As a result David was finally paroled, is at home, and is ready to restart his life!

Congratulations Vasco!
Vasco was sentenced to prison in 2021 for Attempted Murder based on questionable evidence. Even after his conviction Vasco maintained his innocence. After a review of his case it was our opinion that Vasco was clearly acting in self-defense.

After multiple pleadings and Rule 32 hearings, Maxwell & Tillman post-conviction attorneys, Gabrielle Humber & Leroy Maxwell, successfully secured Vasco’s release. Vasco was released from ADOC custody on Dec. 9, 2024. We are thankful that he was able to spend Christmas at home with his family! ❤️

Jeffery was sentenced to 80 years DOC for a Robbery 1st degree. Maxwell + Tillman post-conviction Attorney, Gabby Humber, challenged his sentence and the court of criminal appeals ruled that his sentence was illegal. After several resentencing hearings, she finally secured a time served sentence and Jeffery was immediately released! Jeffery is now home with his supportive family and fiancé!
