Eleven days after the storm, here's what the Panhandle market is actually doing.
Move-in-ready homes are still moving. People still need somewhere to live — demand didn't go anywhere.
But houses with storm damage are stacking up. Insurance checks are coming, but adjusters are backed up and good contractors aren't cheap right now. Some owners are starting repairs. Others are doing the math and realizing the payout plus a renovation bill gets them back to square one at best.
Here's the pattern: the damaged houses that sell fastest this fall will be the ones priced as-is, honestly, to buyers who don't need them fixed. Everything else waits in line behind the adjuster.
If your house took damage and you're doing that math, message the Page. We'll talk through the real numbers.
