🚨 CLASS ACTION ALERT 🚨
Goody Law Group has filed a class action lawsuit against Blue Hill Specialty Insurance Company, Uber’s insurer. And this is bigger than one lawsuit.
Uber is already pushing a ballot initiative to restrict how crash victims recover medical expenses and limit what injury attorneys can be paid, making it harder for injured people to find lawyers willing to fight powerful corporations. It would also make it harder for injury victims to receive necessary medical care.
Now we’re seeing the same playbook in the claims process itself.
California law is explicit: Uber’s UM/UIM coverage must be the primary insurance for injured drivers. Instead, Blue Hill funnels injured drivers into “Occupational Accident Insurance,” which pays pennies on the dollar. Then they claim the real UM/UIM policy only covers non-economic damages.
Uber’s insurance company wants to block your access to legal representation, fairness, and justice. Its insurer is blocking your access to benefits. Same playbook. Same target: you and every other consumer under the guise of consumer protection.
We filed suit alleging bad faith, breach of contract, and violations of California’s Business and Professions Code 17200. We’re seeking full accountability and recovery for every person harmed: you, your family, and your friends.
When corporations count on injured people not pushing back, that’s where we come in. 👊🏻
If you or someone you know was injured as an Uber driver or passenger and had a claim delayed, denied, or routed through other insurance first, we want to hear from you. Link in bio.
