Armed Women of America -Alaska State Chapter Introducing The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters. The Well Armed Woman now fills this void. Carrie also founded The Garden of Glass in 2006.

To expand the world of firearms to women all over the country in a safe, non-threatening way with the purpose of Educating, Equipping and Empowering woman shooters. With the number of women interested in and purchasing firearms for personal protection skyrocketing, the firearm industry has been slow to meet the unique and specific needs of female shooters. Until now, there has not been a complete

and comprehensive resource for women that answers their questions, provides guidance, as well as offers products for women to safely handle and carry a firearm. The Well Armed Woman was founded in 2012 by Carrie Lightfoot, an entrepreneur with a background in small business start ups, e- commerce and marketing. Carrie spent numerous years developing a Social Enterprise Non- Profit, creating jobs for people struggling with poverty through the development of multiple businesses. In innovative company which has become a leader in recycled fire glass and landscape glass and was featured on more than 20 HGTV and DIY Network TV shows. As a firearm enthusiast, and certified handgun instructor, Carrie has now set her sights on opening and expanding the world of firearms to women working to “demystify” the unnecessarily confusing and intimidating male driven industry. The Well Armed Woman has a driving focus to Educate, Equip & Empower women for self defense and to expand the world of firearms and to be a voice for women everywhere.

This is a fun, relaxed night out for ladies who want to get more involved and become more comfortable, confident, and capable with their handguns—whether you’re brand new or have been carrying for years.
