Receiving the Justice Barbara Pariente Award at this year’s Florida Justice Association Annual Convention was a tremendous honor.

Justice Pariente has spent her career championing fairness, integrity, and equal access to justice. To receive an award that bears her name, and to receive it from her personally, is something I will never forget.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the values that have guided my career from the beginning: standing up for people who have been injured, holding wrongdoers accountable, and fighting to make sure every person has a voice in our justice system.

I am deeply grateful to the Florida Justice Association, Justice Pariente, my colleagues, my family, and the incredible clients who trust us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Thank you for this honor. It is one I will always cherish.

It sounds like a paranoid movie plot, but we actually deal with this all the time. 😳🎥
If you think the insurance company is just sitting at a desk reviewing your medical records after a crash, you are dead wrong. They are actively looking for ways to destroy your claim.

We tell all our clients at The Nurse Lawyer: if you have an active injury claim, assume you are being watched. Be careful at the grocery store, in your front yard, and especially on social media.

Most people think winter weather is the most dangerous time to be on the road.

In reality, summer often brings a surge in serious crashes.

More people are traveling. More teen drivers are out of school. Roads are packed with vacation traffic, construction projects, and drivers heading to beaches, parks, and weekend events.

The result? More congestion, more distractions, and more opportunities for something to go wrong.

As summer gets underway, give yourself a little extra space, stay alert, and remember that the most dangerous part of your vacation might be the drive there.

What stood out about this one was everything that happened before the result.

Being available when questions came up. Returning calls. Explaining things in a way that actually made sense. Keeping a client informed instead of leaving them wondering what was happening behind the scenes.
