🏛 Verdict Announcement

Capobianco Law Offices is proud to share a decisive victory: a $15.8 million jury verdict secured for our client, Genera Corporation, after a five-week trial in Orange County Superior Court.

The case involved former executives who were found liable for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, conversion, and misuse of company funds. What began as a claim for $180,000 in alleged unpaid profit-sharing led to the discovery of widespread financial misconduct — including unauthorized compensation, personal luxury expenses billed to the company, and the diversion of corporate funds for private use.

Proving these claims required years of investigation, forensic accounting, and extensive discovery. At trial, our team presented testimony from expert witnesses in corporate governance, executive compensation, and forensic accounting, alongside testimony from 11 fact witnesses. After just over a day of deliberations, the jury returned a verdict awarding $15.8 million in damages to Genera.

• Have at least five years of experience in a business litigation law firm working on civil litigation matters;
• Have excellent writing and organizational skills
• Have experience preparing civil litigation documents, judicial council forms and making federal and state court filings
• Possess excellent computer skills including Windows 10, Microsoft Word (including tables and formatting), Adobe Acrobat DC, and Westlaw.
Experience with legal billing programs along with some office management experience is a plus.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a progressive, flexible and collegial environment.
