FAQ: Is Hometown Heroes free money?

This is one of the biggest things buyers need to understand.

Hometown Heroes is not forgivable. It is a 0% deferred second mortgage, which means there is no monthly payment, but it does have to be paid back if you sell, refinance, transfer the home, pay off the first mortgage, or no longer live in the home as your primary residence.

Still, for the right buyer, it can be a powerful way to get into a home sooner.

With Labor Day coming up Monday, we’re thinking about what hard work really means.

Paul spent 20 years serving with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and is now working beside Jeremiah, teaching him how to build a business with reliability, responsibility and respect.

🌱 We need a little clarification in the lawn-service business: lawn mowing and landscaping are two different services!

Our regular lawn service includes:

✅ Mowing
✅ String trimming (“w**d eating”) in grassy areas the mower cannot reach
✅ Edging along driveways and sidewalks

When we say w**d eating, we mean trimming grass around fences, trees, the house and other obstacles. It does not mean pulling or spraying w**ds in flower beds.

Landscaping—such as flower-bed maintenance, pulling w**ds, trimming shrubs, planting or mulching—is separate from regular lawn service. If we agree to take on additional work, it will be discussed and quoted separately.

We want our customers to know exactly what is included—and when we say we include string trimming and edging with every mow, we actually do it! 💪
