Prior to life in Palm Beach County, Maureen B. Grean lived in Rye, New York and was involved in the usual activities of a young wife with two children, Craig and Douglas. She volunteered at the league of women's voters and spent many hours in the resource room of the local grammar school helping her sons and others with their work. She also volunteered at the synagogue preparing luncheons and organizing inter-faith service amongst the churches.

When the children had grown, Maureen decided to help the family by becoming a realtor, and eventually a broker. Her firm, Jason Alberts Realty, was taken over by Coldwell Banker, which led her to eventually join that firm in Palm Beach County.

"I was very successful with sales in Rye and met my husband who was a lawyer in town and one of my referral clients," Maureen says. "He became my partner and we were married on October 5, 1983. When my husband sold his law practice in Rye, we decided to move to Eastpointe where my mother and father had a home."

In the beginning, Eastpointe had two clubs. The couple joined the Eastpointe Country club where Maureen's parents belonged. She primarily sold homes in Eastpointe where they had joined - until recently. The two clubs merged and her club took over the Golf and Racquet Club.

Since then, the Eastpointe Country Club has grown substantially and will soon open a new facility called the "Pointe", to include a dining facility, 3 pools and a fitness center. In addition, the club will be building 75 new homes which will be built on the old driving range. Prices will range from $800K to 1.4 million.

"I have really enjoyed being a real estate broker and look forward to more opportunities to come. I feel that Eastpointe is a wonderful place with a variety of people that welcomes anyone to feel at home and I look forward to many more wonderful encounters and memories."
