Some Canadian snowbirds who once flocked to South Florida for its warm weather are now feeling frozen out amid the ongoing U.S. tariff dispute, with some struggling to sell their properties. A 2025 survey by Royal LePage found that 54% of Canadians with U.S. homes are considering selling within the next year, largely due to the current political administration.
“The polarizing political climate in the United States is prompting many Canadians to reconsider how and where they spend their time and money,” Phil Soper, president and CEO of Royal LePage, said in a statement.
