When an accident happens in a Kentucky school drop-off line, determining liability may involve looking at distracted driving, failure to yield, unsafe backing, traffic violations, and other factors. More than one party may share responsibility in some cases.

Motorcyclists face unique risks on Kentucky roads. Wearing proper protective gear, staying visible, maintaining a safe following distance, and watching for changing road conditions can help reduce the risk of a serious crash.

Drivers also play an important role. Check blind spots, allow motorcycles adequate space, and look twice before turning or changing lanes. If a motorcycle accident leaves you injured, we can help you understand your legal options.

Can a Pre-Existing Condition Affect Your Motorcycle Accident Claim?

Having a pre-existing medical condition does not automatically prevent you from pursuing compensation after a Kentucky motorcycle accident. If a crash worsens an existing back injury, chronic pain condition, prior head injury, or other medical issue, the aggravation may be considered as part of your claim.

Medical records and expert testimony can help show how your condition changed after the accident. Clear documentation can be especially important when an insurance company argues that your symptoms existed before the crash.

If you were injured in a motorcycle accident and have concerns about a pre-existing condition, Saladino & Schaaf, PLLC can help you understand your legal options.

Maritime work can be dangerous, and injured seamen may have legal protections under the Jones Act. This federal law allows qualifying seamen who are injured because of an employer’s negligence to pursue compensation for their injuries and related losses.

Jones Act cases are different from standard workers’ compensation claims, and determining whether a worker qualifies as a seaman can be an important part of a claim.

If you were injured while working on a vessel, understanding your rights can help you determine your next steps.

After a serious truck crash, important evidence may be stored inside the truck itself. Many commercial trucks have electronic data systems, often called "black boxes," that can record information such as speed, braking, and other vehicle activity before a collision.

This data may help determine what happened and whether driver or trucking company negligence played a role. Because electronic evidence may not be preserved indefinitely, acting quickly can be important.

If you were injured in a truck crash, Saladino & Schaaf, PLLC can help you understand your legal options.
