The California courts are rolling out a new online tool for DIY people to prepare and submit the required paperwork to get a dangerous person out of your home, quickly and permanently. An attorney may assist you with your DVRO, however, the process is expensive if you need an attorney, and has been designed from the first so that people can do it themselves without an attorney in most cases. This new online tool should make the process even easier.

The Alameda County, California court has just issued guidelines to divorced parents on how to co-parent during this time of COVID-19. Worth reading! In brief, you still need to comply with existing court orders as best as possible, while being encouraged to be flexible and cooperate on making new agreements, considering what's best for the kids. The crisis is explicitly stated to NOT be a reason to deny the other parent visitation! And be careful, because acting like a jerk now can and will be used against you when this all settles down.
